MODULE DESCRIPTIONS
TESL Certificate - 10 Modules

What is the difference? - TEFL / TESL / TESOL...
* TEFL is an acronym for Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
* TESL is an acronym for Teaching English as a Second Language.
* TESOL is not a recognized certificate program offered in North America.
TESOL is a professional association, founded in 1966; The Global Education Association. It is an acronym for Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages and is an NGO of the United Nations Department of Public Information.

Prerequisites:
TEFL certification - You must be a high school graduate or have your high school equivalency. Or, you may qualify with mature student status.
* You must be a native English speaker or have native-like fluency in English. See: TEFL Cert. - 2 Modules (1 & 2)

Module 10: Going solo - Tutoring in ESL/EFL
Practicum: Observation and Practicum Teaching

* To ensure a natural progression of your development in achieving TESL Canada recognition, it is advised that you take each module in the order outlined in this overview.
** You must successfully complete Modules 1 through 10 before you are granted permission to enter: Practicum: Observation and Practicum Teaching

* Please note: The curriculum for the TESL Certificate program was developed by Pan Pacific and will be available once the agreement with pan Pacific to purchase this curriculum for use in Ontario has been finalized. Students who have completed the TEFL Certificate with The TESL trainer will not be required to repeat Modules 1 & 2.
